I just bought this motor and would like to know if swapping the elephant ear prop (399B645121M) off my old nissan 5hp 2-stroke would be a good thing? The ee looks a bit broader in the shoulders, as it were, than the high thrust prop on the new motor.

The 399B645121 is the EE that comes on the sail pro, and has a lot bigger swept area than the stock props. See the prop table at http://www.tohatsu.com/accessories/prop.html

Thanks, Paul. I had them side by side yesterday: optical illusion I suspect, the root of the blades looks larger on the older prop...I'll keep the older one as a spare.
