Guy is trying to sale it to me for 100 bucks.. not running. I knew it was pre-54 bc it has the throttle and magneto plate control on that lever deal rather than the tiller handle. I dont think its worth 100 not running

It looks like a 4443 model. I have several of them. I like them. Fast and lightweight. No reverse to mess with. A simple clutch for neutral. (the knob on top) I pay $20-$50 max for mine though. Usually not working. It does have the modern ignition though which is nice. If it had new coils and was working, $100 is not bad.

Actually the 60's 3hp's have lever control and not on the tiller. So it's not always indicative.

Actually, the earlier Fleetwins did not have the modern era magneto. It more resembled that used in the Johnson TD-20s... Fairly reliable, though, and the coils held up better over time than the newer ones.

I have a '53 that I still run occasionally. A little buzzy, but otherwise a nice runner...

And grab the pressure tank if it hasn't been converted or you'll be spending even more money on a tank or converting it to a pump. I bought my 55 7.5 with tank for $70 with a stand. The motor runs but need a lower unit.

No pressure tank on that motor - the tank is built in...

That must be what the flap is for at the back of the motor?? Cool!
