Is now the best its going to get price wise or am I better to wait it out for better deals. Is spring a good time for deals? I kinda wanted one to use for a bit the remainder of this year.

Fall/Winter is always the best time to buy a boat. (Lower prices) People are putting them away so there is not alot of demand for use...

Spring is the best time to sell a boat (higher prices) as demand for them goes back up when the seasons for use come back around...

There is one word of caution though. Prices are best in the off season. Selection is best in the on season. So you may get a better deal in December, but you'll have more to choose from in April.

Prices are low enough now that if they go up at a rate that makes you regret buying a boat, your were going to regret it anyway. My humble opinion!

Go buy a boat and enjoy it!

I was about to post this exact thing. I think right now would be the best time because selection is good and prices are falling. Wait any longer into winter and selection will drop. Wait till Spring and prices will rise. People are facing winter storage costs and want to sell.

I just bought a boat; and I wanted a specific boat so I looked for like 2 months. They're out there right now if you're willing to drive to see them.

I spent about $1100 on my boat, motor, and trailer. The same exact set up in early summer was at least double this price.

IMO, this might be the best time to get a boat! People are taking them off the water and thinking about selling them before they have to pay storage somewhere. There are probably twice as many boats for sale yesterday than there has been all summer.

I have found sometimes you can get a better deal if the owner is looking at paying winter storage costs.

How do then test drive a boat that has been stored for the off season if its been winterized?

Make the deal contingent on a spring sea trial and/or survey and/or inspection.
