Has anyone ever seen a distributor shaped like this? (Or did i just get ripped off)

I recently just purchased and received an electronic distributor for my mercruiser in-line four. Now heres the kicker. I can't find a cap that fits the damn thing. I've tried parts stores and local boating stores and searched for hours on the internet with no luck. Has anyone on here ever seen one of these before or know where I can get a cap for this thing? Any leads would be extremely helpful. THANKS!

Yep, you got ripped off.
That is not an electronic distributor. It's the DDIS sensor. All you need is about $1000 worth of parts to make it work.

Just curious, what was wrong with your original distributor?

Was it the points/condenser type?

Yeah, it was the old points distributor and i was looking to upgrade to an electronic distributor.

Save your money. The old distributors work well on that motor.

They'll rarely leave you stranded.

Yeah, it was the old points distributor and i was looking to upgrade to an electronic distributor.
