hi .i have a johnson 35 hp outboard which was fitted to a sea fishing dory i had (i sold the dory )and put the outboard in storage till i found a boat
i have now acquired a suitable boat for the engine and fitted it
the engine starts first or second pull runs great with good throttle responce for about 20 to 30 seconds it then over revs for about 10 seconds and cuts out you can restart the engine and if you keep pumping the ball on the fuel line the engine stays running but not very smooth so i have checked the fuel line and replaced it with new and checked in side the fuel tank all clean opened the carb again clean as a whistle but the engine wil not stay running
unless you keep pumping the fuel bulb i have opened the diapham and i cant see any damage or holes can any one help cheers steve
