Guess you havent bought any new cars lately fyi most new trucks or suv come stock with 20 to 22" my brothers new navigator 2009 has 22 on it stock. This isnt 1980's any more with 14" hubs.

I recently saw wheels about that size on an older rear drive Caprice four door the other day. The dude turned onto the freeway ramp and it heeled over so bad it looked like it was going to roll over. Bigger is not always better -- at least not in this case.

If I'm not misunderstanding, I thought the question was if he bought rims, 22"-24" would he be able to tow his boat safely. Like stated above, if today you buy a "New" truck you are going to see them with 20" or 22" wheels. There are some pretty nice looking wheels out there that can withstand the torque needed to trailer a boat. Some folks buy Shinny Anchors just so it can be thrown in the mud, but the anchor looks good on the boat. Whats the difference? To say it's wrong, I don't think so. Cigar Boats with all of the Graphics, will it make the boat go any slower? I don't think so, but it looks Good! I don't think he's asking if he puts 40" Diamond studded, Gold trim, Light flashing rims on the truck would he be able to pull a 17 ftr.......Geez!

Yeah you will be fine.. go for it, only problem you might have is pulling out the water if you get a wider tire and dont have 4wd.

you will be fine. I have 22s on my Armada and on my Dodge 1500 and have used them both for towing my 19 footer with no problem.

had after market 20" chrome rims they where heavy *** hell compared to 18" stock aluminum on 05 f150. needed shocks, tires, brakes, alignment. after 10k
after i did this i put stock back on and sold chrome ones cheap. as for warranty was void because of the weight of the rims. if you buy find a lighter set or alluminum if possible.
