Super Hawk Front Pedestal too low

The bow deck is convertible in which the pedestal goes through the deck and down to the floor base. Because of this I need a pedestal that is around 36" to get the height that I need. The longest I have seen are only 30". Are there pedestals that can be fit together to gain more height?

Yes there are some at Bass Pro. You may also get some help at a Crestliner dealer.
I have the same bow setup in mine and love it. People are amazed when I show them I can go from a fishing deck to an open bow in 60 seconds.

I checked with Crestliner and they said that this front seat was not intended as a fishing pedestal and they didn't know of any pedestals longer than 30". I couldn't find a taller one at Cabela's or Bass Pro. I did find a taller base that would give me about 2-3 inches in elevation.

That's a good idea. I haven't seen any that will nest together but it shouldn't be too difficult or expensive to have two sections welded together. I already have extra sections so I will check with a local welder to see what he thinks. I'm looking for about 30" height from the top of the deck to the bottom of the seat.

Keep in mind in many states it's illegal to have anyone riding up front while underway, especially if there are no bow rails.

Mine came with a big yellow sticker on the base plate saying that you can't have anyone in that seat above trolling speeds or like over 5 mph or they can be ejected.

I know you see people do it all the time, but you also see people letting their kids riding on the bow with their feet hanging over the edge.

Above 5 mph, hit a wave and you can eject that person out of the boat and into the prop.

This is probably why you don't see higher seat posts as an option or add on. The higher you sit the farther you are from the center gravity.

You should check with Crestliner on what they recommend for max height of the pedestal. I think you are heading for an accident welding posts together.

I know you didn't ask but it's just my opinion from experience.

I agree, That would be about as safe as riding around with kids & dogs in the back of a pickup. Rest assured our bow pulpit seat is for fishing only and that's only with the electric motor. I located a factory raised base that will provide about a 3-4" elevation over the standard bases. Hopefully this will do the trick.
