I am installing a replacement bow mount trolling motor on my 2001 BassTracker Pro Deep V16.
The old trolling motor was a 40lb thrust Motorguide.
The new trolling motor is a 54lb thrust Motorguide.
Mounting the new trolling motor was a breeze until I went to hook up the power to the 4 prong plug that is in the front console of my boat.
The new trolling motor has a black and red wire with ring tongues on the ends.
How do I get a 4 prong plug that I can use with the current setup on my boat?

HELP...I wanna get out on the local lake and do some fishing.

Thanks, Phil

buy a plug and wire it up. The plugs are a ripoff at 15 to 23 bucks, but it is a boat part after all.

You can get these all over.

If you can't find the plug you need, any store that sells boating supplies has both the two-terminal receptacle and matching plug. Replace the receptacle and add the plug to the troller cable. Both of these items are very inexpensive (all things considered).

Don't know whether that plug will work as we can't see the receptacle it plugs into.

Most likely you won't have problems, but not knowing how much Tracker value engineered the boat, if you have problems at full thrust (circuit breaker tripping) you will probably need to rewire along with CB to use your new motor to its full potential. Just something to watch out for.
