No need for a pole. If you have a ski tow eye, you can use that. If not, you can buy a harness like this:

It attaches to the transom tie down eyes in the back of the boat, and makes sure you're always pulling from the center. Under $20 at your favorite on-line boating store, or probably WalMart, too.

oh okay that does sound easier. are the eye hooks on the transom the same as the hull one that you connect to the trailer winch? my transom doesnt have any eye hooks on it...

If it was you use to hold your boat on the trailer they should be able to pull a tuber. Are the eye hooks on the sides of the boat?

If there are not any there, you can probably add them pretty easy providing you can get to the back side of the transom where you want to mount them.

If you do, be sure to add a plate of some kind on the inside of the transom to help spread the weight. I used a 8"x8" square piece of Stainless Steel 1/8" thick when i did mine.

Hope this helps!

Remember To Always Shutdown Your Motor When Loading Or Re Boarding Your Tubes Riders. Or Any Swimmers Approach Your Boat.
