I need a little guidance I am looking at a very nice Sea Pro 190CC 2005.

While researching about this type boat and comparable values I have read that
the Sea Pro is now out of production and that there are problems with loose hardware and cracks in the boats outer coating, a manufacturers defect in some models.

The boat I'm looking at seems to be fine and doesn't have these issues but am I getting into a substandard type boat. I don't want to buy problems I want to enjoy this first experience and hopefully a long fun life in boating.

Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks.....

If you think that there is a credible risk then don't buy it. That way you won't end up kicking yourself when the problems you were warned about show up. In other words I wouldn't want to take a risk if you are spending big money.

The fellow selling it is an officer in the Coast guard Aux. and is immaculate with his boat. I think it is a great buy but it has been kept in dry storage except for when he takes it out. I will be keeping it outside under a carport.

I'm wondering if his care being store has just delayed the future problem of the cracking later to come. Have you heard of that with Sea Pro?

Thanks I appreciate your help very much.
