I have a mercruiser MPI V-8 350 Horizon 2001. Tranny

I went to replace the coupler and found it is a very strange one. On it are the words Centa Antriebe and a part # CF-ds-22-336. I have never seen one like this before. I tried to get the coupler from the company but they sent me one that doesn't look anything like what I took off.

If I put the regular merc on it #862975A1 would that be ok?

Also, this is an engine that was never taken out before, why would merc use a coupler from a different company?

What ever you do, don't google "tranny"

You might want to post the transmission type (velvet drive etc?) and the serial number of your engine.

There could be a specific flexplate/drive plate for your trans. Did you check the manufacturer of your transmission?

You might get a current service manual? That part might be superceded by the one you got from them...

Mercruiser parts indicates that plate is 862975A1, DRIVE PLATE, (B/W 5000 / Hurth 630 Transmissions)

LOL
Next time I get a chance I'll go in the boat, find all that info, and update everything.
