I am working on a circa 1987 Mariner that has the following issue:
I have taken the carb entirely apart and cleaned the fuel system to include using carb cleaner (soaked for 36 hours, all carb parts) installed new fuel lines, and cleaned the fuel tank. The engine will not run without the choke engaged at least half way.
My current thinking is the float is not adjusted properly, or there is a low speed adjustment I am not aware of and do not know, if so, how to adjust.
Can anyone shed some light on how to adjust the float and/or other adjustments that will allow the motor to run without the choke engaged?
