I have recently purchased two Johnson Outboard motors. Can any one please tell me the following.
Year of manufacture.
Oil/Fuel ratio.
2.3 hp. Model HJ2REDE. S/No. H9343280.
50 hp. Model 50ES74M. S/No. E4038084.

Year & Fuel Mix.

Try This site for the year. If they are newer that 1980 you can get it here.

I took a quick look, the 2.3 appears to be a Hong Kong model

The 50 HP is a 1974 and probably 50:1
The 2.3 HP is a 1996 oil mix unknown

Both do use a 50:1 fuel mix!
