'78 evinrude 115hp alarm sound

took the boat out the other day, heard an alarm (constant buzz) as soon as i got up to speed.... i ran it for about 5 minutes then turned around and docked it, and then it wouldnt start again.... i think i flooded it because there was a bit of gas spilling out of the metal flaps and thats why it wouldnt start.... anybody got any ideas?

That's your overheat alarm. Sounds like you might have cooked it.
