Minn Kato 65 no power

I have a Minn Kato 65 trolling motor. It does nothing when I turn the throttle. I have resistance checked the rotory switch and since I don't have a schematic or pin diagram I really don't know if it is good. The prop will turn by hand with out any resistance. Any suggestions to repair this motor? Are there any diagrams out there that give resistance or voltage values for the rotary switch?

You have verified you are getting power to the motor haven't you?

I hooked the battery directly to the red and black leads from the motor control housing. I did not know what color wire to connect to on the switch housing to by pass the switch and go directly to the motor. Is there any chance I will hurt the motor by jumping directly from the switch M connector with the nagative battery connection and hooking the positive to one of the rear connectors on the switch ( 1, 2-3, or 4)?

Where could I locate a manual for this motor?
