how to richen up the mid range

i burnt up my middle piston in a 1991 70 hp--vj70eleie-and have read that they go lean at cruise throttle. how do you richen it up--jets?? adjsutments?

They go lean because of crap in the carb ... no adjustment, just take apart and soak in carb solvent, make sure all passages are clean, blow dry with air and re-assemble, using new soft parts.

You would need to change jets, they aren't adjustable.

Never looked for outboard jets so I don't know if the have them or not.
