Hello All,
I recently picked up a '64 Sabrecraft with a '78 80 HP Merc which was running rough through the whole range, starting hard, dying on acceleration and when shifting into gear. As an ex car mechanic but a newbie with outboards, the info I've found in the last two weeks on this board has been awesome. Thanks to Clam's linc & synch procedure and reading lots of other info here, the Missus and I just spent a thoroughly enjoyable 8 hours on the lake enjoying our new toy, which now runs like a top.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to post advice and help, it helps manyh more people than just the ones who originally asked the question.
