MPI vs EFI

What's the difference between MPI (multi-port injection) vs. EFI which I assume is regular fuel injection?

MPI (multi-point injection) injects into each individual cylinder or plenum runner after the throttle body. EFI (electronic fuel injection) incorporates a throttle body with one central fuel injection point. The advantages of MPI are precise fuel usage resulting in better economy.

Thanks fishmen 111. That makes it very clear. I'm looking to upgrade to a larger boat and it seems like EFI vs MPI should not be a deal breaker if the boat has everything else I'm looking for. My preference will be towards the MPI which is what I curently have and seems to run very well.
