Its getting spark. What are some likely culprits? Is there a good manual that a mechanical newbie can follow?

If it's getting spark on both cylinders how do you know it's running on one? Did you do a compression test? Is it a single or double carb?

Get the factory service and parts manuals. They are easy to follow even for the average driveway wrench.

It is vibrating like crazy and has low power. I concluded that it is running on one cylinder.

check your propeller, is it damaged. does it shake in neutral? you dealer will get you a factory manual.
