I recently bought a 1965 sea king 6 hp, I put new lower unit gear lube in, and took it out on the river. It ran very well with no problems, I sat the motor in my garage and the next day there was a pile of what looks like grease, not the heavy weight gear lube i put in under the motor. I found it coming from a small hole abought 3/16 round just above the prop. This hole is on the oppisite side of the two holes i used to drain and fill the lower unit. I cant even tell if this is a threaded hole, anybody know anything about this, and what size plug should be in there?

It does smell gassy but i just went out and pulled the lower unit drain plug out and the same stuff came out of their, so i guess water is getting in the lower unit. Anybody know where i need to start to fix this?
