I have a 1976 Chrysler 55hp. The two coils are cracked and no good, and so far what I've come up with is $118 per coil. Is there an aftermarket product I can use in place, or am i stuck with the huge bill?
Because of the steep prices for many new replacement parts, a lot of Chrysler owners resort to used parts.
Google The Chrysler Crew. Join and advertise in the classified section for used ones. Also go to the help column and ask there. There are a whole bunch of enthusiasts on that web site and you would be surprised at what comes up for sale. You may even be able to buy a whole junker for the price of one coil and have other extra parts. Good luck.
