suzuki downtrim failure

7 year old suzuki 50 hp 4 stroke. Great engine. 18 months ago down trim would activate only after push button multiple times...any of the three trim buttons on the boat. Up trim continued to work great. When I press down trim nothing....no sound nothing....on 10th try it may activate. Was suggested I replace down solenoid...which I did and I believe correctly...problem solved....but now today 18 months later problem returning...must push down trim switch multiple times before anything finally happens...surely the second solenoid has not failed in this short amount of time?! I am suspicious of some electrical common denominator. I did at least learn how to use the "manual" trim release...if ya cant get the motor down into wa wa, its useless. Any ideas appreciate. You have some electrical terminal corrosion issues -- check the connections in the down circuit and relay.
