totally depends on condition, running, and cosmetic. you need a market for it. collector, decorator.

Value is subjective, it's only worth what someone will pay on the day you sell it. Check the Antique Outboard Motor Club website for a chapter in your area, if there is one contact them and go to their next swap/trade meet. Great fun and the best way to learn about the old iron and how to use it/maintain it or sell/trade it.

Sounds like a 1926 Evinrude 4 hp. Book value according to Peter Hunn is $60-250. $250 being in nice original condition and running. Don't ask at the AOMCI website. They won't answer.

Re: Have Elto Light Twin Evinrude 1925 ?

As I understand it Ole Evinrude sold the Evinrude and agreed not to put his name on an outboard thus the ELTO was born "E"vinrude "L"ight "T"win "O"utboard.
The Elto Name appeared on a number of Gale built motors in the 40s and
50s I believe Canadian sold motors We had one that resembled the Gale 12S10.Also I believe I've seen Eltos resembling the 12D13 and the 22D11.We are On the border with Canada So we probably had more exposure to the Canadian sold Eltos.

Lots of 1940-50's ELTO's up here in Canada built by the Gale plant.
