RADAR ARCH'S (Atlantic Towers)

Has any one ever use a Atlantic Tower Radar Arch the adjustable one that will fit almost any boat and also will fold down on a swing hindge, I am thinking of buying one and was wondering how strong are they and will the suport (4) shark/tuna rods and the Furuno radar dome. they look nice on the web buy I am wondering if any one has any reviews Thanks Bob

has anyone seen these folding archs in use & are they nearly as sturdy as the fixed mount, my problem is the river I live on has a lot of low bridges & before buying I am asking for advice this type of set up Thanks Bob

Before the NY Boat show does any one have any opions on the quailty of the fold down radar arch made by Atlantic Towers or any of there product line, any comments would be a big help before I buy one thanks all

I know very little about them. Most people out here make there own.
Make sure it high enough that if you stand up in the boat it will not cook your head.
Also it needs to have a way to level the radar for and aft. This way you can adjust so it works when drifting and still work when under way. A point half way in between the two boat angles and maybe leaning a little more toward being level while underway.

Many use a leveling plate between the arch and array it self or they shim the mounting bolts.

If you just getting a 8 to 16 mile radar the arrays are not that heavy. If you see one at a boat show get up on the boat a see how solid it is.
