IN-Line Fuse

87 four winns 16' open bow. 115 merc,O/B. There was an in-line fuse from Controler wire bundle to Battery Positive terminal. Does anyone out there no what size fuze this would be. Operates radio, dash components, horn.... I've been told anywhere from .05 to 10 amp...Big difference!

What's the wire size? 12 Ga = 20 amp, 14 Ga = 15 amp, 10 Ga = 30 amp. If that wire is the main feed to the fuse panel at the console then it must be fused to handle the capacity of every circuit wired through the fuse panel so a 1/2 amp fuse would not operate the radio.
