How fast does your Merc140 go?

My glastron x-17 will do 35-37mph, at 5,000 feet elevation. What are you guys getting out of your mercruiser 3.0l 140hp?

Your speed is good. I have one in a 18 foot dixie fish and ski with a 3.0. 35 is what I get with the family loaded in moderate chop in a relatively warm lake with a 19 pitch. I feel that is pretty good too. I have been able to get to 42 on cold glass with just me and my son but I feel that is really on the upper end.

I have a 04' maxum with a 3.0 and with the factory 21 pitch prop with 2 people on a calm day i could almost get 45. I now have a ss prop with a 19 pitch and top out at 40.

my 120 in a SRV 180 will do about 34 with a 19 pitch prop taching about 4300

My 1988 18 foot open bow with a alpha one drive and a 17P prop will go 38-40 at 4600 RPM with close to 500 pounds of people in it.

'89 merc 4 cyl 3 ltre 140 hp 14.5 x 17 at 37 w/ 700 lbs. 16' 5" invader. 427 hrs. is that good? 4900 rpm's
