Thinking about buying a used boat. I cranked the motor using a wet foot and was concerned that there was not enough water being discharged from the 2 snouts in the rear and from the pee hole as well. The pee hole just sort of dribbles out with no force and the 2 snouts shoot little water out and only occasionally. The boat is equiped with a water pressure gauge that does not move off of 0 psi. However, I don't know if it works. I disconnected the water line running to the gauge to check and see how much water pressure was really comming out of the head and the rusult was about a 1 to 2 foot pee stream that could easily be plugged with my finger with very little resistence. With all this said, I have not ran the motor for a long enough time for it to warm up and I know it has at least 1 thermostat that will not let the water circulate until it has reached operating temp. My question is, should the water pressure coming out of the pee hole and registering on the gauge increase once the thermostat(s) have opened and should I see more water discharging from the 2 snouts once warm.
