my boat quit while fishing today.its a 85 5.7 chev 4 barrell mercruiser with thunderbolt.has the large amplifier on the exhaust pipe.seems to be firing good according to a spark checker but acts as thou its out of time.flaming up the carb,poping back and just wont run smooth.i would swear the wires were crossed if i hadnt had it going.can the amplifier throw it that far out of time.??everything appears fine on inspection with eyes.i tried a cap and rotor.dont want to keep throwing parts at it.was hoping for more fishin friday.thanks
