trim oil quantity...whats normal on mercury outboard

I have a mercury 90hp outboard and was wondering how much oil the trim takes. I just got the boat and don't know if there is a leak that I'm not seeing. I emptied one quart in there and it seems like it needs more.

From what I've read, make sure you trim the motor all the way up then fluid level should be up to fill plug hole, you can use dextron II transmission fluid or Quicksilver trim fluid..same same.
