Hey Ford techs, ABS light on

'00 Explorer. ABS light is on. Is there a way to check what caused the light to come on? Thanks

Common abs fault is dirt, mud, rust on the sensors. I would start there and hit an autozone for a test scan.... the scan will tell you which wheel.

Thanks for the reply Bob_VT. I called Auto Zone. They can't check for ABS codes. Is there any way to do it at home? Thanks

http://www.ford-trucks.com/ best ford site that I know of. I am sure if you resister there and ask someone will give you a tip or two.

If you check you abs wiring off you rear dif you may fine a brake in the wiring.
Ive seen lots of them.Just pull the harnes apart and pull on the wires to see if the wire insulator pulls apart.If there is just solder them up with shrink tube and you will just fine.
