Just got an older 10hp sea horse dont know year or oil mix hope someone can help. mode#od-18 ser#270112

That would be a 1957. You should find that it's a QD, not OD. Fuel mix is 24:1

That's QD-18, not OD-18, and it's a 1957 10 hp. Fuel:Oil is 24:1.

They're good outboards, and parts are available.

the leg has to be submerged 1/2 way up in water, before starting, the water pump is high and not self priming.

I have a 85 hp Seahorse that I just spent 250.00 on a rebuilt carb kit.The fuel ratio is 50-1 so that is not my problem.THere is a buzzer that seems to go off at times.Have anybody got the same prblem ,Im stumped at the casuse.

Go back to the page that lists all the existing threads and you will see a button at the top/left of the list that says New Thread. Mash that and you are on your way.
