:'( i have a 3 hp evinrude lightwin (dont know the year) and the shaft is too short for my boat
remounting is not an opt i need a longer shaft

Give us a model number, but I don't think extensions were available for those There was a longshaft sailboat version that might work, but would be difficult to find. It had a conventional right-angle gearcase, not the weedless version. It was called a YachTwin.

The 5" kits for the older models were part # 379723 for the standard drive and part #379473 for the weedless drive. You might check with:

also tcoutboard.com the yacht twin was a 4hp.

im assuming its late 60's looks just like the one at tcoutboards.com:eek:ps e.d.is not applied
