Re: Boot lube?

We've used cheap foam shaving cream. Works well w.r.t. sliding into the binding and seems to break down in the water quickly (no suds). However, I'm not sure whether it's really environmentally friendly or whether it affects bindings. I'd suspect it would be better than liquid soaps on both fronts since it's a lubricant, not a cleaner, and it's obviously water based not oil based. Anyone know for sure?

shave cream is definately the way to go. Not sure about biodegradeable on most but I am sure some are. Best thing is it rinses clean and does not break down neoprene. Anything that stays in the binding after hitting the water is not good. Popping out of a binding is how most people blow out thier knees while wakeboarding.
