now I have 3 old 50 hp motors now confused

picked up 3 50hp 4 cyl. blueband at a auction cheep and i belive they are around the mid 70,s Q one has 500. on the motor cover. other thunderbolt an one bigfoot are they the same motor look the same with covers off? and will the parts be be the same? Q.2 I have made up a water tank to test the motors but how will i start the motors with out remotes? My plan is to comprss the motors frist then decarb the lot recheck the comprssure and then see if i can make a good motor for my boat. they are not frozen up. thank's don

Buy a remote off of e-bay and add it to your test stand.

All 50 hp engines built since 1970 are ADI ign of one type or anouther so don't need power to run the ign. So for test purposes you can hook power to the solinoid and ground jump the solinoid for starting and kill the engine with the choke or hook a kill wire to the Black/yellow terminal of the switch box to kill it. The system is a ground off system
