I have a 22 year old, 60 gallon aluminum fuel tank, I am going to run all new hoses from it with double hose clamps and all that- but should I look into replacing the tank? Thanks for any advice.

Corrosion is its only enemy. If there is none, it should last forever.

Pull off the fuel guage sender plate and have a peek inside.

If it's that old, I would recommend pulling the tank for a thorough visual inspection. It could also be inspected in situ using ultrasound, like they do for underground tanks in gas stations. I have not heard of this being done on boats, though. Thirdly, you could have it pressure tested. This is how USCG certification is done on new tanks. The new double clamps and hoses are a smart idea.

Water laying against it will cause corrosion.
If the outside of the tank stays dry or will dryout
then it should last a lonnnng time.
Mine lated 26 years, only wet foam caused
failure.
Had to redo stringers.
