No spark

My 1989 50hp has no spark, i replaced the stator and now i have no spark at all, any ideas is it possible to have gotten a bad stator??

lesson learned, perform tests on new parts before installing, i have no resistance on new stator.

My new stator finally made it back and once replaced it fired right up. Havent had th e chance to take it out to see if it fixed my power issue, but it is good to hear her run again..
