charge coil test

could anybody tell me how to check the charge coil out put & the cdi pack on a evinrude 60hp 1989 model
as i have a missfire untill the engine gets to 2000rpm

yes i was alos told that my charger coil is bad, but how would you tell and how much does it cost to fix?
