I have a 17 foot 1972 (says it is California Boat Mfgr. Inc.) I can find nothing relating to this boat. I bought it from someone that had no idea either. It has a Chevrolet 4 cylinder (think 170 HP) and a OMC out drive. It is a closed bow with wrap around plastic windshield. I am trying to find some kind of manual for the boat, motor and outdrive so I might get some kind of idea as to maintenance etc. I am a total novice. Never owned a boat and live around Reno Nevada where the winter gets brutlaly cold. Need to find the nooks and crannys to drain for winter and any other tune up specs and lube points etc. As far as I can tell the engine and all other gear is original and in good shape but really need as much info as I can get to keep it that way.
Anyone with any info about this boat or it's manufacturer or where to obain would be greatly appreciated. .

Thanx in advance!! (Sorry if I am in wrong part of forum. If so please move and inform me where I should be!!

Actually as I posted I do know the manufacturer. It is California Boat Manufactures. It still has the tag on the stern. My problem is they have been out of business for many years and I am hoping someone who reads this forum may know somebody who perhaps has purchased one of these boats or someone who may have worked for this company or knows anything about it might know how or where to obtain any original info or manuals for this boat. I have been searching for quite some time and it is like they only built this one particular boat and everyone involved has passed away. Not a trace of info or a glimmer of hope.

Most new boats today don't even come with an owneres manual. It's more important to have the shop manual for the engine. You just have to figure the boat out yourself, and the people on this forum will be able to help you along the way. If you want to know the specifications of the boat you could go to Nadaguides.com, and they will most likely have your boat listed.
