It will start ever time, run for 2 to 5 min, then make a clunking noise and speed up and dies.

Try pumping the primer and see if it keeps running. Sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me. With the pressure tank system, you are supposed to close the tank vent while running so it can build pressure, which is the opposite of the normal single line tank.

I'm with Paul...anytime a motor starts to speed up and then die, its running out out gas, strange as it seems.

float not droping, burning fuel in the bowl. or an air leak not letting the bowl keep full.
