Does salt and monel or stainless steel wire line cause anodized aluminum spools to react and corrode?

They can, Its called dissimilar metal corrosion.<br />Anodizing itself is a protective coating, though <br />not always impervious to salt which corrodes just about everything.

Simply put, yes they can. That's why the 113HSP is the reel of choice for a wire line setup
