hello my name is jamie im from south louisiana and i am new to boating any anything there is to do with it. i have a boat my buddy gave me and like to know more about the motor. its an force 125, but not sure of the year. is there a way to tell like a code number or something.<br /><br />

The 125 was made from 1984-1989, yours looks like a later one, maybe an 87-89?<br /><br />There is supposed to be an id plate on the side of the mounting bracket. It should have a model number and serial number.<br />That is how you identify the year.<br />Post the model number here if you can find it.<br /><br />It would look similar to this: 1253F8C<br /><br />There should also be a hull id number on the back of the boat, probably above the swim ladder. Post that number and we can tell you the year of the boat.

On the boat, the last 2 digits, 88, indicate 1988 model.<br /><br />On the motor the 8 indicates 1988 model year.

My 150 Horse Force model # is 1508f91D. Is that a 91 or 99?

HArd to pinpoint that serial number. They lumped them all together from 92-94.

oe000001 through oe093699

Looks like yours is a 92 or 93 model.
