force 120 starter and trim problems

Motor battles to turn over with plugs in,plugs removed it turns great,good battery,any suggestions please.Trim goes up but once up it clicks on the downward setting.

Rick,<br />Sounds like you have two problems. the first is a bad trim solenoid, if you swap the up and the down solenoids you will see your problem reverse. as far as the cranking the first thing i would check would be the starter current draw. If the starter is drawing more than 170amps replace it. I am assuming you have good clean and tight battery connections? Thankyou,I replaced starter and it cranked right up,also switched solinoids and got the trim downwards.
