Re: Chrysler Sport Fury I/O

I have also gotten a very good deal on one of these. $300.00 for Boat Motor and Trailer. It needs a fair bit of repair, mostly cosmetic and interior work. I am not going to complain because I got 2 young boys who would love to help me restore this boat as the price was right. The motor runs, but it needs an exhaust bellow. It has a Volvo Penta B-20 in it I believe. I have yet to investigate further but that is the number on the block. I as well cannot find ANY INFO on this boat. When you Google it this is the first link that comes up (great SEO) and 8 of the 10 others are the Chrysler fury car. I am interested in finding out more on this boat. Perhaps the 3 of us here can keep in touch and share information. I was told it had a Chrysler out drive, but it looks identical to the 270T in the photos, right to the Chrysler Marine tag.

Any help and/or links would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Re: Chrysler Sport Fury I/O

Hi guys - I rebuilt my 1977 Chrysler sport fury but it is an outboard
so can't help you much with engine questions. I pretty much did
a complete rebuild - new transom, new stringers, new deck, new
carpet, new seats. also beefed up the fiberglass with 1708.
I must of removed 500 lbs of water logged foam and when I used
to pull drain plug it would drain for 10 minutes. Now the only time
anything drain out of it is if I forget to cover it and it rains and
get rain water draining into bilge area. I also replaced all the foam.

If I can be of any help let me know
