Lots of interest in the old Chrysler boats .. I am purchasing a chrysler valiant.. slightly modified.
but would like to see more and learn more about these boats.
I'm picking up this weekend what the guy supposidly believes is a 1979 Chrysler Speed or Ski boat. I dont have a photo wish i did but when I went to look at it was getting dark and cold in WI.
My brother has a Chrysler 9.9 from the 80s. Runs great. And after looking at the Chrysler crew website i can honestly say its a Chrysler boat but it has an Evinrude 85hp motor on it. We bought it for the motor so we may have a shell to sell if anyones interested thats if my brother doesnt fall in love with it.
Threedeesmax thats cool I cant remember what mine looks like it was getting dark when I looked at it at the guys house. Suppose to get it Sunday afternoon will post pics when its here. I think the guy sprayed racing strips on the hood tho.
Well, I have to admit that I painted mine white and silver. I was going to put it on an older classic boat, but it really was about 20hp and 75 lbs. too much for the boat.
I have the same boat but a 1976 that I bought this fall. Put a 1972 85 HP Chrysler on it and plan further upgrades next spring. Now if winter would just end.

I have the same boat only a couple years older. It is going to need a full tear down as the transom is getting pretty bad as well as other cracks and such. Unfortunately I was out of the country for a couple of years and the cover tore exposing it to the Michigan elements.
