Then go to:

Other Outboard (Sears, Clinton, etc.) Troubles/Repair

And see my posts about an 1.5 hp. Elgin engine and the ratio.
Well, I uncovered the varnish over the ratio on the engine. For proper operation mix 3/4 PT. blank-W30 with 1 gallon of gasoline. That would be 21.3:1 . I dont see any weight on the the 2 cycle oils I have. Also 3/4 pint is 6 oz, right? And a gallon is 128 oz, right? Why does the manuf. Ratio chart state 6 oz per gallon = 24:1? 16:1 works out and 16:1 works out but 6oz per 128 oz. comes out to 21.3.

Hep me! please.
Thanks.

Re: Calling Lubedude!

3/4 of a pint is 12 oz - 16 oz to the pint, there are four 4 ounce units to a pint - 3 times 4 = 12

hmmmmmmm

so 12 ounces of oil to a gallon of gas, thats like a 10 3/4 to one ratio, eh, call it 11 to 1

sure as hell there aint gonna be no skeeters on THAT lake!

:p
