I can build a room addition, heck a whole house, but my vhs is still blinking 12:00. Got a ceiling fan that is way too slow. Is changing the the fan switch capacitor a possible way to increase the motor speed? No signs of failure on current Hunter fan speed capacitor.

Yes, it has three speeds via chain, from barely moving up to slower than another fan's slow speed.

Also check that fan spins easily. If not you can lube bearings with light oil.

That is a good idea, However,I've used 3 and one oil and it just gunk's up in short order. I've found that using gun oil, or sewing machine oil don't gunk up and lasts forever.

Capacitor finally arrived via a very slow boat from Hong Kong with a nondeliverable return address in Viet Nam? Anyway with great anticipation it was installed, making zero difference in fan operation. Tried all possible switch and wire configurations. Customer said that's it!, new fan. Turns out that model was on close out, (wonder why), so no help there.
