Weird LT1 problem

Yep those coil wire seem to corrode quite frequently on those engines. Just part of the design. I usually load them up with dilectric grease to release the problem for awhile. Changing the wire set can be a challenge with motor in car.

I guess that's why the GM book says about 2 hours to change them

Yes loosen ac brackets and a box full of extentions and universals you have a complete tune up ...plugs and wires some mech lossen the dizzy ..l see no need

Plugs were done a couple of months ago, the old ones had a gap of about 1/8". A real pain to change. I'm gonna unhook the air pump, it won't set a code on either my 94 or 95. It would on a 96.
With the new wire the engine pulls hard right thru the 1-2 shift. It's nice to hear the tire chirp instead of a series of misfires at the shift point.
