Real simple start of the weekend schedule at Las Vegas. Cup, X-Men and Trucks on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That is all until the forum works again.

A little update;

Cup qualifies at 7:40 PM today and iFL pole locks at 7:35.

This is the 1st race with complete and total rules package. Big spoiler, big splitter, aero ducts, less horsepower and whatever else Nascar threw in the blender. What can go wrong?

Atlanta TV ratings were the worst in 20 years, back to 1999. 3.1 rating and 5.07 million viewers on FOX, down 6% in ratings and 10% in viewership from last year (3.3, 5.61M) and down 18% and 23% respectively from 2017 (3.8, 6.60M).

Daytona was low, Atlanta was low, all of last year was low and Nascar is still looking for the next Winston, Nextel/Sprint or Monster series sponsor. How long will or what will it take before corporate sponsorship and TV deals start to dry up? The Twerp just signed a multi-year contract extension and M&M's extended with #18 for a reported $20M per year. That's a lot of candy! Sports TV ratings in general are declining, so it isn't just a Nascar thing. Maybe sports is spread too thin over TV, cable, streaming and the ability to program a DVR service?

Now that Jayski has left the building, It's easier to come here and read GA_'s info. Thanks Humpty.

Jayski's made it easy, Sam. That was my prime source, now I have to jump all over the Interweb. The forum acting up did not help one bit either.

On to the important things - Who got the pole? Harvick is on the pole, followed by Hamlin, The Twerp, ADillon, Hemric, Ragan, Larson, Stenhouse, Johnson, Joey, Bowman and Elliott round the top 12.

The race locks at 3:40PM on Sunday.

Rain got to Vegas and the Cup practice has been cancelled. Still have a 2:30 practice scheduled......maybe.

The Twerp won the Truck race last night. So what else is new? He is looking for a sweep of all three races. So what else is new?

X-Qualifying was cancelled by the rain and wet track. The sun has come out and track drying is working for the final Cup practice at 2:30 and X-Race at 4PM.

It took 2 overtimes, but The Twerp won the X-Race. It is time for Nascar to limit Bushwhackers to the Truck race or the X-Race when all there are triple headers. They shouldn't be allowed to drive in 3 races on a single weekend.

Don't forget to make up your roster before the race.

Watching the race on a postage stamp. Parts of the Atlanta metro are under tornado watches and warnings, so the race is just a small box on TV with weather peeps talking about the radar.

Hope everyone is safe.

Caution free so far and Harvick wins the 1st heat.

I know it's messed up! Showing me in 19th. :mad-new:

The weather is moving away from me, now the bad stuff is SE of Atlanta. It seems to be weakening, hope so.

Got the full screen back, too. Too bad The Twerp is in 1st.

As the better of two evils I'll accept it. I wanted Happy to win. That and Joey's win kept me on top of FL, at least until the lugnuts are checked.

Joey wins to keep his title defense alive, leads the points and has a sure spot in the 1st playoff round. And The Twerp didn't sweep the weekend.

64osby is the early iFL winner.

A caution free race is amazing!
