Only 3 races to go before the playoffs begin, so Bristol is a great track to use the chrome bumper to get across the finish line first to secure a playoff spot. 41 teams are entered in the Cup race and that's a good sign, What isn't good is the weather forecast - Friday and Saturday have scattered T-storms with lots of rain and things don't improve until next Thursday. • Skinny news this week, so lets start with rumors. Busch41 may turn into Busch1 taking Monster sponsorship to Ganassi - If Monster sponsors a team next year.
• Greg Biffle did "intrude offensively upon the privacy" of his ex-wife. The jury found for his ex-wife and awarded her $1.00. That's 100 pennies and $8,999,999 less than she was asking. Punitive damage arguments are next week by the same jury. Oh boy!
• TV ratings - Michigan had a 1.62 rating and last year was 1.96.

No rain so far, but tomorrow's start time has been moved up an hour and rosters now lock at 6:41.

Couldn't happen to a nicer driver - The Twerp was leading and only 11 cars on the lead lap. Then he cut a tire and smashed his car.

Larson won heat 1.

Overtime finish coming with a yellow 3 laps from the end. Larson was cruzin'!

Larsons wins all heats and the final, just beating rain outside the track.

Elliott and Bell were racing hard for 2nd/3rd until Elliott got a loose wheel. The Twerp is on his 2nd six pack of Busch. LOL

Rain will probably have a say tomorrow night. Picks close at 6:41, but the race has been moved to an earlier start already and who knows what will happen before race time with the forecast.
