As long as the grease shows no signs of water, vacuum pack them with a FoodSaver and put them away. Cleaning them is going to a lot of trouble for something you most likely will never re-use. My 2 cents.

I use paper towels and rags to remove as much grease as possible , then blow out the small remains with compressed air , then you can inspect bearings and races and see if it's even worth keeping , then if you still want them really clean, brake cleaner with a applicator straw works wonders, sorry for 2 more cents added after 2 cents was already added
